With all the press the iPhone 3GS is getting for her considerably faster chipset, it will be fascinating to see what the faster Nvidia Tegra chip will/can do to the video experience.

Remember, Microsoft is pushing hard the idea that we'll be hooking up these Zunes via the new HD Dock and playing on the big flatscreens. They need the power to make it look good.

And I think they got it.

Radio World, who has a vested interest in radio being part of the portable media player story, asks if "HD Radio Could Revive Microsoft's Zune."

So many things we could say about this one - and we will at some point - but before we go, this simple question to you our readers …

Back when we owned ZuneHD.com, we had a very popular thread where people would predict the date. Sadly, the predictions have not been moved over here, but you are more than encouraged to repost your predictions here.

So, when do you think the Zune HD will be released? What have you heard?

This is an interesting approach for Microsoft. To this point, they've always priced the Zune about the same as the iPod (however channels like Woot have offered fascinating alternatives).

What has changed - or is Crunchgear misinformed?

Do you think this new pricing strategy for Microsoft will help sales of the Zune HD?

That's the only "official" word you're going to get from us on that one.

The videos we've seen floating around the net of production models sure do show a speed and zip that you just don't see on any other player right now.

This current rumor could explain that - and sure does wet the appetite for the Zune HD.
